Environmental Policy of Earth Observation Center
Introduction
Earth Observation Center recognizes that global environmental issues are of critical importance. We are committed to continuing our efforts to reduce emissions of CO2, a greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere and to implement measures that prevent environmental pollution.
Overview of Operations
The primary mission of the Earth Observation Center is to receive observation data transmitted from earth observing satellites, conduct image processing using computer systems, and provide the processed data to users.
These data are utilized in a wide range of fields, including the resolution of environmental issues, disaster monitoring, and resource surveys, thereby contributing to solving social challenges, including global environmental problems.
Environmental Initiatives
The Earth Observation Center is committed to “prevention of global warming” and “prevention of Earth’s pollution.”
<Prevention of Global Warming>
To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we strive to conserve electricity and water, contributing to the prevention of global warming.
<Prevention of Pollution on the Earth>
To protect the rich natural environment of Hatoyama Town, we comply with environmental laws and regulations related to water and soil pollution, and work to prevent contamination.
